Snowflake Xmas Mermaid!

Here is my newest painting for the SGA Mermaid aka Sea Gods Artist group challenge. The theme for this month is to depict a mermaid with a holiday theme. I had fun painting this mermaid in a very cute santa outfit, surrounded by many falling snowflakes. Did you know that there are no two snowflakes that look alike? She was painted with Sakura Koi watercolors, prismacolor color pencils and Koh_I-Noor waterproof ink on paper.  I was very happy with how this painting turned out. I hope you enjoy viewing it too!

Oh yes, I want to wish you all a Merry Xmas and Happy Holidays! I will be taking a break and relax from all the painting! :) I am planning to cook some of my favorite Xmas recipes from Colombia as well as European recipes. I love to cook when I take time off painting.

This is one of my earlier mermaid paintings, a lovely mermaid with purple hair and a light pink tail who loves to wear beautiful seashell and pearls jewelry, as she swims through the seas. It is 8.5 by 11 inches, created with watercolors too. Click HERE for more details about this painting.

Enjoy the art! I love painting mermaids and other types of fantasy art too.
