Beauty and the Beast Mermaid art challenge!

Hi everyone! It's a super hot summer over here, and I am hiding inside my studio with the air conditioning on, creating a lot of new art. I just wanted to show a sneak preview of my newest mermaid painting, this is a challenge for my group Sea Gods Art at Ebay. This month we are to pick a faerie tale and depict it using mermaids. I chose Beauty and the Beast. Here is the inked version, I am working on coloring it as we speak. Now the question is, will the beast turn into a handsome prince or a handsome merman? This is 6 by 9 inches in size, and it took me about three hours to draw and ink. Enjoy the preview! I will be posting the finished piece soon!
